Abstract

One of the most effective and eco-friendly methods is the photocatalytic process to elimination of human-made organic poisonous and pharmaceuticals pollutant. Sketching an efficient photocatalytic nano-scale material having a proper bandgap to remove toxic pollutants is necessary for environmental remediation. In this paper, an environmentally friendly chemistry process was done to obtain development a class of ternary heterogeneous nano-photocatalyst (ZnO/NiO/rGO) with advanced photocatalytic performance under UV and visible lights. The bandgap of ZnO/NiO/rGO was determined at 3.24 eV by Kubelka-Munk plot, making them beneficial, for degrad of contaminant in the UV and visible region. The photocatalytic behavior of the desired ZnO/NiO/rGO was inquireed for photo-elimination of multiple Pharmaceuticals pollutant for the first step. The ZnO/NiO/rGO nano-photocatalyst displayed significant performance over the degradation of the aforesaid pollutants. The excellent photocatalytic efficiency was gained of degrading the Acetaminophen (93.7%). ZnO/NiO/rGO was capable of destructing the Acetaminophen contaminant with 0.0140 min−1 kinetics rate.
