Abstract

The uptake of 99Tcm-DP in normal facial bones was not changed by irradiation of malignant tumors. The intensity of the pathologic uptake into regions with active parodontitis in a few patients increased during irradiation. The uptake of 99Tcm-DP in bone with neoplastic growth varied during the period of treatment, probably depending on the tumor reaction to irradiation.
