Abstract
Facelift surgery is the ultimate rejuvenative procedure. Over the past 50 years, evolution of various facelift techniques has addressed both conservative and aggressive approaches. This procedure can be as simple as a small skin flap or as aggressive as deep plane subperiosteal techniques. Regardless of the technique, significant complications can occur with facelift surgery in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phase. It is imperative that the surgeon anticipate, recognize, and be able to treat the common complications associated with this procedure. The following problems can occur with facelift surgery and will be discussed.
