Abstract

The possibility of implementing stable electrospinning and fabricating nonwoven material with fibre sizes in the nano and micron range from P-42 fluoroplastic was demonstrated. The rheological properties of solutions of fluoroplastics in ethyl acetate were investigated. The optimum electrospinning process parameters were determined: conductivity, electric field strength, volumetric flow. It was found that the fibre diameter is most dependent on the volumetric flow and initial viscosity of the polymer solution.
