Abstract

In2O3 nanosheets with the rhombohedral-cubic phase junction (IONS-RC) were synthesized using graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets as the sacrificial templates. Both of the two-dimensional structure and the phase junction could effectively inhibit the combination of photogenerated charge carriers in IONS-RC, leading to its high activity in photocatalytic degradation of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This study not only presents an efficient photocatalyst for PFOA degradation, but also propose a novel method to prepare metal oxide nanosheets such as In2O3 nanosheets, Co3O4 nanosheets, and CeO2 nanosheets.
