Abstract
In this work, a pencil graphite electrode modified by ruthenium nanoparticles and thiobarbituric acid (RuNPs/TBA/PGE) was used to measure the acyclovir (ACV) using a sensitive adsorptive differential pulse voltammetric technique)AdDPV). Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used to characterize the modified electrode. Some concentration and instrumental factors affecting the electrode response in the ACV measurement were optimized, and ACV was determined under optimized conditions in two concentration ranges: 3.0 to 30.0 and 30.0 to 3000.0 nM. The detection limit was also determined to be 0.8 nM. Finally, the proposed method was used to measure ACV in tablet and urine samples, and the results showed that the proposed method has the necessary accuracy and precision.
