Abstract

An innovative method was put forward to fabricate superhydrophobic surface based on nanostructured zinc rich coatings via modifying the rough surface with perfluorodecyl triethoxysilane solution. The obtained superhydrophobic surface not only displays a static water contact angle of 153°and water sliding angle of 7°, but also exhibits an excellent reparability and self-cleaning ability during the field test. Water immersion test and electrochemical measurements demonstrated that this modification can improve the anticorrosion performance of the coating.
