Abstract

Herein, a novel hetero-nanostructure of SnO2@TiO2@C has been fabricated by an elaborate approach. In the SnO2@TiO2@C, porous SnO2 quasi-nanocubes are double protected by ultrafine TiO2 nanorods and carbon coating. As anodes for lithium-ion batteries, the as-prepared SnO2@TiO2@C exhibit improved lithium storage and rate performance. It is demonstrated that the novel hetero-nanostructure should be responsible for thus improved performance.
