Abstract
Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer was adopted as the dielectric material to fabricate the dielectric/silver coated hollow fiber (HF) with a dynamic liquid-phase coating method. The corresponding EVA film thicknesses of the EVA/silver coated HFs fabricated with different coating velocities and concentrations of EVA solution were obtained by analyzing the measured loss spectra with theoretical calculations. The relationship between the thickness of EVA film and the fabrication parameters was concluded as a reference for the design and fabrication of such kind of HF. The material dispersion property of the EVA film coated inside the HF was also evaluated. Under the optimum fabrication condition we suggested, the EVA film showed high quality in smoothness and uniformity.
