Abstract

This Investigation provides an insight of fabrication Aluminium alloy 2025 T6 metal matrix composite reinforced with Red Mud using stir casting methodology. % of reinforcement along with grain size and stirrer blade angle are considered as control factor which are used for the fabrication of orthogonal trail design of Taguchi philosophy. Mechanical characterization like tensile strength and micro hardness were considered as output responses. Recently formulated Lichtenberg Optimization Algorithm and Whale optimization Algorithm were utilized for obtaining optimized control factor. According to ANOVA outcome, blade angle and grain size are the most significant factor for maximization of tensile strength and micro-hardness respectively. Also, confirmatory results shown that Lichtenberg optimization algorithm has provided more precise prediction which can be helpful for casting of Aluminium alloy 2025 T6 metal matrix composite reinforced with Red Mud.
