Abstract

Radial-easy-magnetized Ni nanowire arrays have been fabricated by direct current (dc) electrodeposition in pores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates. The most probable length value of grains' long axes in nanowire is 7.5 nm. These small grains with random crystallographic direction are the main reason for Ni nanowires to show radial-easy-magnetization. Heat treatment and diameter dependence on magnetic properties of the nanowires are also studied in this work.
