Abstract

On bonded NdFeB magnetic rings (B/NdFeB), a double-layer epoxy resin (DL-EP) coating was created using rolling spraying and cathode electrophoretic deposition techniques. The corrosion behaviors of the B/NdFeB and coated samples were examined using potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), high pressure accelerated aging test (PCT), and neutral salt spray resistance test (NSS). The DL-EP coating significantly improved the corrosion resistance of B/NdFeB, as evidenced by the comparison of corrosion current density (Jcorr), PCT time, and NSS time.
