Abstract
Now a day, the use of composite material has gained enormous popularity due to superior mechanical properties and application need changeable dynamics. The preparation and characterization of conventional composite materials is an age old technique, however necessity to improve the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of composites, the use of filler materials in small amount along with the regular reinforcing fiber and resin are emerged as a better choice. In this work hybrid glass fiber reinforced composite material with epoxy resin is prepared. Graphene and flyash is used as filler aiming to improve the mechanical property. Industrial waste as flyash is chosen as filler as a waste to wealth initiation. Meanwhile carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin composite is also prepared to compare the mechanical properties with the prepared hybrid composite. To fabricate the composite specimens, an improvised method of hand layup process is adopted with efficient screw compression loading. The details of improved preparation methodology have been discussed.
