Abstract

Ba8Zn(Ta6−xSbx)O24 ceramics have been prepared through the solid-state ceramic route. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed the ceramics have hexagonal perovskite structure with space group P63cm. The structure of the system was confirmed using Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy. The microstructure of the sintered pellet was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. A correlation study is performed between the structure and the measured dielectric properties. The τf values of the samples were reduced from 38.6 to − 1.6 ppm/°C with the increase in Sb concentration. The compositions have good microwave dielectric properties and are suitable for dielectric resonator applications.
