Abstract

Ag doped nanocomposite catalysts, such as Ag@CeO2, were investigated to evaluate the influence of metal doped morphology on catalytic performance in the antibacteria. The Ag doped CeO2 nanocomposite catalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal process. The catalysts were characterized by use of XRD, antibacteria test, TEM, and TGA. The Ag@CeO2 catalysts with a doped ceria nanostructure exhibited superior catalytic activity over the catalysts prepared by impregnation of Ag on a CeO2 support in solution. The high catalytic activity on a nocomposite catalysts in solution is mainly attributed to the improved surface area by doped ceria catalyst morphology.
