Abstract

This research focuses on the occupational socialization of women fashion models. Observation, unstructured interviews, and questionnaires with an open‐ended format were used as research tools to understand the process of socialization and the work demands of modeling from the perspective of modeling students and accomplished models. It is suggested that the sustained fabrication exhibited by models can provide insight for better understanding public presentations of self.
