Abstract
We recently developed a rat model of incubation of drug craving after voluntary abstinence achieved by providing rats with a mutually exclusive choice between methamphetamine and palatable food for several weeks. Here we determined whether this incubation phenomenon would occur after a period of voluntary abstinence where the alternative reward is access to a social peer.
