Abstract

Increasing the electric power generated by nuclear power plant is important for the economy and the environment. In this study, I focused on the steam generator of PWR. We have established a method to calculate the vapor mass flow rate of steam generator. Vapor mass flow rate of the steam generator with the axial economizer is also calculated and evaluated for performance. In order to generate more vapor mass flow rate than that of the current steam generator with the axial economizer, the heat transfer enhancement of the heat transfer tube is considered. Considering the introduction of the fin and the twisted tape, and were compared to calculate the vapor mass flow rate. Vapor mass flow rate has increased about 7 % by the combination of the external fin and internal fin.
