Abstract
The high concentrated lithium bromide aqueous solution is as an absorbent of the absorption cooling and heating chiller and furthermore, on the basis of the good environmental and economical aspect, the development to triple effect machine and heat pump is expected. The improvements in performance to the absorption machine are accomplished by promotion of heat and mass transfer of the absorber and desorber to working medium by adding a surfactant. This paper describes how the surfactant additive which adsorbed to the vapor-liquid interphase excessively influenced the boiling phenomena and heat transfer characteristic of the high concentrated LiBr aqueous solution. As the results, the effect of the surfactant additives improved the boiling heat transfer characteristic in all nucleate pool boiling region.
