Abstract

Experimental method to analyze the effect of regenerator on the improvement of indicated work in low temperature differential Stirling engine is reported. And the method show the effect of #18 stainless steal mesh sheets on the variation of internal energy during one cycle. Evaluation of regenerator by pressure change provides the data about the variation of internal energy during cycle. Evaluation of regenerator by temperature change in working fluid enables to discuss the effect of regenerator and the effect of heat exchangers in hot side and cold side. The changes of internal energy increased by a factor of over 3 times when the regenerator composed by the #18 matrix was used.
