Abstract

Basic features of Isight and its data-mining functions and surrogates are presented.Data-mining has an unique importance in engineering optimization that arises from black-box nature of the functions to be evaluated.Data-mining and problem analyses encourage efficiency and sanity of optimization tasks.A number of related methods in Isight are organized in the four categories : "Optimize","Visualize,Analyze","Deterministic,Theoretic","Stochastic,Heuristic".Then basic templates of conducting data-mining and problem analyses are introduced by means of the portfolio.
