Abstract
Technology has made government information more accessible to the public through loading of the Government Printing Office's GPO Monthly Catalog MARC records onto local online catalogs. This study examines and identifies documents received against the matching bibliographic records on the GPO Monthly Catalog tapes. Also compared are the GPO cataloging priorities and the priorities of a high use/high demand government publications reference department in a large academic libary.
