Abstract

The fatigue life prediction is important for design of the Jet Engine Rotor. Usually, the design life of the Rotor-Disk is confirmed in the Cyclic Spin Test. However, because there is no effective NDI technology, Resolution & Inspection is done for the Crack Detection. To solve this problem a Crack Detection Sensor, composed of a Thin Film, was devised. The validity of the Crack Detection to 350Deg.C from RT was confirmed in the Foundation Test.
