Abstract

The writer Mihail Sadoveanu is known as one of the most prolific authors of literature, as an initiator of cultural magazines and a prestigious collaborator of such publications that appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. A retrospective of his life and activity also reveals a hearty initiator and good organizer of literary get-togethers, especially during the period when he was president of the Romanian Writers’ Society, in its first years of existence. This paper presents some of these less known aspects of the life and activity of Mihail Sadoveanu, related to his travels in Bukovina, starting from some photos and a manuscript found in the patrimony of the National Museum of Romanian Literature Iasi.
