Abstract
Objective To analyze the effect of eyelid shorting combined with fascia lata tightening surgery for paralytic ectropion. Methods The data of 6 cases with lower eyelid paralytic ectropion before and after eyelid shorting combined with fascia lata tightening surgery were collected and analyzed. Results The follow-up time was 5-60 months. The ectropion was cured in all 6 cases. The hypophasis was cured in 4 cases and improved in 2 cases. All the patients were satisfied with the surgical outcomes. Conclusion Eyelid shortening combined with fascia lata tightening is easy to operate and can effectively correct lower eyelid paralytic ectropion.
