Eye power and pressure detection using MEMS sensor

Abstract

Though the technology has been a boon to us in many ways, continuous watching of digital displays would definitely cause power related problems to the eyes. Power problems are common in all age groups irrespective of the age, Children are facing the critical eye issues by keenly watching the television, they are not even aware of the issue what they are going through. The spectacles are sometimes not effective over the increase in power. Hence the detection of power based vision would reduce the problems. Presbyopia is caused due to ageing factors, whereas myopia and hypermetropia are farsightedness and short sightedness common among the young people who are the victims of being attracted by harmful rays radiating digital displays. To overcome these problems mems based lens is designed as an implant using hydrogel material with flex sensors, which is presented here.
