Abstract

This paper describes a system designed to acquire atmospheric and surface-ocean pCO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> data essential to the scientific study of air-sea CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> exchange, atmospheric CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> growth, and their variabilities. Highlighted is a computer-based measurement system installed aboard an oil tanker whose route traverses several oceans.
