Abstract

ABSTRACT Spectrophotometric observations of the unusual planetary nebula Hf2-2 (PK 5-8 deg 1) are reported. Data obtained at 340-520 nm using an IIDS on the 2.1-m telescope at KPNO in September 1983 and at 370-680 nm using a blue reticon detector on the 2.3-m telescope at Steward Observatory in August 1987 are presented in tables and graphs and analyzed in detail. Features noted include high He and C enrichment (C/O = 19) and near-solar N/O (0.21) for an electron temperature of 10,000 K. The corresponding values for Te of 7000 K are C/O = 4.4 and N/O = 0.10.
