Abstract

This review describes the imaging characteristics of Ewing sarcoma family of tumours ESFT exclusively in an adult population The magnetic resonance imaging MRI and computed tomography CT appearances in adult patients with ESFT is described The imaging characteristics in this largest case series of adult ESFT reported so far were similar to those reported in the paediatric ESFT Our incidence of extra skeletal ESFT of is the highest reported so far in the adult population and is higher than the reported incidence of in the paediatric and adolescent population MRI was found to be superior to CT scan in identifying tumour involvement of the bone marrow and in delineating the soft tissue involvement due to its multi planar imaging capability
