Abstract

In today’s era of advanced laparoscopy, it is still not uncommon to encounter potentially lethal port site bleeding during placement of secondary trocars on the perietes. This is usually due to the inadvertent transaction of a subcutaneous/ rectus sheath vessel/s by “blind” insertion of secondary trocar/s. In this regard, we describe a simple and rapid technique of siting a trouble-free port track using a Veress needle.
