Abstract

The distribution of Sr and Y between the aqueous phase and solutions of picrolonic acid in methyl cyclohexane was radiometrically investigated. The dependence on the concentration of the hydrogen and sodium ions in the aqueous phase and on the original concentration of picrolonic acid in the organic phase was studied. The optimum conditions for extraction and recovery of strontium and yttrium were found, and the composition and stability of the complexes formed were determined. (tr-auth)
