Abstract

The consumer lifestyle of modern society brings forth a number of ecological problems, for the mitigation of which the formation of an ecologically conscious and responsible society is an important condition. In this context, the implementation of ecological education of students, particularly of tourism students, is highlighted which is carried out through curricular and extracurricular classes. The article points out the importance of organizing extracurricular activities in the process of forming the ecological competence of tourism students. The main forms of extracurricular activities ("excursion" and "educational visit") that can contribute to the formation of students' ecological competence are introduced in the article. The resources available in RA are also presented, the effective use of which in the process of organizing excursions can promote to the formation of students' ecological consciousness. The article refers to the skills that students can acquire through extracurricular activities.
