Abstract

A new method for the quantitative determination of the sum of quinolizidine alkaloids in the seeds of lupine has been developed using the method of extraction photometry, based upon the formation of complexes between alkaloids and picric acid. Metrological attestation showed good reliability and repeatability of the results. Using the proposed method, the content of alkaloids in the seeds of various species of lupine has been determined, which varies from 0.095 to 0.128%.
