Abstract

The cationic dyes Remacrylblau B and Remacrylrot 2BL have been investigated as analytical reagents for the determination of anionic surfactants in waters. Extractional spectrophotometric procedures are proposed. The lowest quantity of anionic surfactant determinable (expressed as lauryl sulphate) when a 1-cm cell is used is 14 μg/l., with a standard deviation of 1 μg/l.
