Abstract
The proposed method for the determination of Re traces includes the following stages: sample decomposition with a mixture of sodium peroxide and sodium carbonate, extraction of rhenium with acetone from 5 M NaOH and spectral determination using ICP excitation. The excitation unit of the spectrometer used is equipped with a watercooled burner. The atomic lines ReI 346.047 and ReI 346.473 nm are used. Detection limits are 25 ng Re/ml and 40 ng Re/ml, (2 σ criterion, aqueous solution). The method is applied to the determination of rhenium in ores and concentrates containing more than 1×10−5% Re (0.1 g/t).
