Abstract

Surgical procedures are essential for achievement of favorable outcomes in adult patients diagnosed with Class III malocclusions and exhibiting aesthetic, skeletal, and dental disharmony. Premolar extractions may be necessary in some cases in order to allow proper positioning of the teeth in relation to their bony bases. The current case report presents two patients who underwent ortho-surgical treatment with maxillary premolar extraction to upright the maxillary incisors and correct their excessive labial inclination. The treatment results showed adequate Class III reduction, justifying the use of this treatment plan.
