Abstract

The dependence of the distribution of Cs, Sr, Ba, Eu, Ce between nitric acid solutions and 0.06M hexabromo derivative of cobalt dicarbollide (H+BBr 6 − ) in dichloroethane has been investigated upon the concentration of the acid, the extractant and the synergistic additive Slovafol 909. The back-extraction due to the presence of propanol, hydrazine, nitric acid and NH4NO3 has been studied. The results were similar to those observed in analogous systems using nitrobenzene as the solvent.
