Abstract

Anomalous large-angle scattering of 3He and α-particles on strongly clusterized nuclei such as 6Li and 7Li is in the main determined by the clusters exchange mechanism. This gives an opportunity to use the anomalous scattering for investigation of the cluster structure of nuclei in addition to more traditional methods such as transfer reactions (for example, (6Li,d), (6Li,α), (7Li,α)) and quasielastic knockout reactions. The present contribution reports on the results of the investigation of the elastic and inelastic scattering of 3He and α-particles on the 6Li and 7Li nuclei measured at the 3He energies of 50, 60 and 72 MeV and α-particles energy of 50.5 MeV in the full angular range. It was shown that experimental angular distributions can be described only if the exchange mechanism of the elastic and inelastic transfer of the deuteron and triton clusters was taken into account. Cluster spectroscopic factors were extracted for the ground and low-lying excited states of the 6Li and 7Li nuclei. For the ground states the experimental values of the spectroscopic factors agree well with theoretical predictions and data from the quasielastic knockout reactions. However, for the excited states the experimental values of the d- and t-spectroscopic factors differ from theoretical ones by factor of 2–3.
