Abstract
The article presents the methods of waste oil-based mud (OBM) treatment by the combined extraction-membrane separation method. The efficiency of various solvents for the hydrocarbon base extraction from drill cuttings is considered and it is found that hexane is the most promising one. The estimation of operating costs for carrying out the OBM treatment using the organic solvent nanofiltration technology are of 0.6-0.84 $/l.
