Abstract

Objective To explore the technique and curative effect of small incision extracapsular cataract extracition for the hard-nuceleus cataract after glaucoma trabeculectomy.Methods 58 patients' 58 eyes with hard-nuceleus cataract undergoing extracapsular cataract extraction and artificial lens implantation after trabeculectomy were retrospectively analyzed and followed up for 3-6 months.Their eyesight,intraocular tension,and complications were observed.Results All patients' eyesight was improved.The corrected visual acuity of 3 eyes (5.2%) was less than 0.1,13 eyes (22.4%) 0.1 ~ 0.3,and 42 eyes (72.4%) ≥ 0.3.Their intraocular tension declined little.Few complications were observed.Conclusions Small incision extracapsular cataract extracition for the hard-nuceleus cataract after trabecula abscission is a safe and effective surgery.
