Abstract
In the last two chapters the results of the field work carried out in Italy and Mexico have been presented, analysing the presence and the features of the relationships linking the economic actors in both cases. The next step is therefore to compare these results and to analyse their similarities and differences. Although they do not fully match the ideal-typical model described in the literature (see section 5.5), the Italian districts nevertheless represent examples of highly developed, complex and long-standing systems, characterized by intense and qualified linkages.
