Abstract

A 27-year-old woman, G1P0, presented to the hospital with amenorrhea for 1 month after spontaneous miscarriage. She was free of any cough or fever. Her transvaginal ultrasonography revealed a retained product of conception. A diagnostic hysteroscopy showed that the uterine cavity was filled with cheese-like whitish deposits extensively (Fig. 1A), with a small piece of endometrium identifiable on the posterior wall (Fig. 1B). Endometrial biopsy (Fig. 1C) was performed, and histopathological tests revealed caseous necrosis.
