Abstract
In a recent paper, Joly and MacCullum (1990) described an algorithm for the Segre classification of the Ricci tensor and its implementation in the computer algebra system SHEEP. In this work useful extensions and improvements of the algorithm in terms of the computational efficiency are presented. Some comparative examples are tested in both versions.
