Abstract

The impact of γ-butyrolactone and cyclohexanone on the stability of the reconstructed Au(1 0 0) surface was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. Moreover, it was noticed that in an appropriate range of cyclohexanone concentration, the current peak due to the lifting of the thermally induced reconstruction changes its shape while the peak due to the lifting of the charge-induced reconstruction does not.
