Abstract

It is suggested that Biswas' analytic continuation of the grand partition function outside its radius of convergence describes the metastable phase of a gas. This theorem is used to extend Fisher's droplet model to the supercooled gas below T c. It is also conjectured that the number of clusters in the gas is similar to that of the percolation problem. Using a recent result of Bakri and Stauffer about the distribution of clusters in the disordered phase below the percolation threshold, Fisher's model is extended for the gas above T c.
