Abstract
It is widely accepted within our field that ELT knows no boundaries; it’s a truly cross-disciplinary trade. Three key words in IATEFL’s mission statement are ‘linking, developing, and supporting’ and it’s on the basis of these three words that teachers around the world can gain inspiration for new collaborative initiatives and even mobilize entire institutions to rethink their curriculum policies. One such example of this is an engineering school in France, Télécom Paris, which educates students in the field of digital technology and is an active IATEFL Institutional Member. For many years, the English teachers in its language department have taken advantage of the many professional development opportunities IATEFL offers from the webinars, to attending the annual conference, to meeting over coffee to discuss the latest issue of Voices.
