Abstract

Software requirements selection and prioritization (SRSP) is an important process of software requirements elicitation and analysis methods like AGORA, PRFGORE process, GOASREP, AHP_GORE_PSR, etc. In these methods, pairwise comparison matrices (PCM) are constructed by the decision makers (DM) for the selection and prioritization of the software requirements. In these methods, consistency of the PCM plays an important role to decide whether the preferences given by the DM for the software requirements are consistent or not. If the PCM will not be consistent then it may lead to failure of software system. Based on our literature review, we identify that, less attention is given in SRSP methods to check the consistency of the PCM. Therefore, in order to address this issue, we extend the AHP_GORE_PSR by generating different patterns of PCM. Finally, we explain the proposed method by considering the example of Institute Examination System.
