Abstract

Abstract The results of extended X-ray absorption fine-structure measurements performed at the IL, edge in AgI in the temperature range 50–292 K are reported. The temperature dependence of the Debye-Waller factors of the first and second coordination shells of iodine is satisfactorily described by a hybrid Debye-Einstein model, which reproduces the main features of the density of states of vibrational modes.
