Abstract

An enhanced formulation of a linear method for transmission line overload alleviation is described, based on the relationship between line current and voltage parameters. This new development ensures adequate modelling of real power injections in buses without specified loads, inclusion of the swing bus from those generators with the capability of alleviating line overloads, and incorporation of the dependence of load on voltage during load shedding.
