Extended KP equation and solutions with special properties

Abstract

We present an extended KP equation, which is given by a coupled (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear integrable system derived by the Dbar dressing method. In the limit of weak fields, the symmetry condition about the spectral transformation data is to derive the line-solitons. The rational solutions for the coupled (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear integrable system are also obtained. The dimensional reduction of the extended KP equation is discussed.
